What's in my dressing room? – Jonathan Sayer

We go backstage with ”The Comedy About a Bank Robbery” star

Jonathan Sayer

Jonathan Sayer is currently starring in The Comedy About a Bank Robbery at the Criterion Theatre. As company director of Mischief Theatre, his previous theatre credits include Peter Pan Goes Wrong and the Olivier Award-winning production, The Play That Goes Wrong.

The Photo

JS: The first is a picture of my girlfriend Lucy. It's always the first thing I put up in the dressing room when we start a run.

The Cast Mate

JS: We always share dressing rooms. I share with Henry Lewis and Henry Shields. Here is a picture of Henry L having a great time (Henry Shields had gone home so wasn't available for a photo!)

The Book

JS: This is the book I'm reading at the moment. I'm very interested in medieval history.

The Souvenirs

JS: The Play That Goes Wrong is opening in lots of places outside the UK at the moment and every time a show opens we get sent a poster, a programme or a script from the show. A production that opened in Paris a few months ago sent us a fan with all the characters on!

The Diamond

JS: This is a cool 'Diamond' that Henry Lewis' girlfriend bought him on opening night.

The Piggy Bank

JS: Finally, this is a piggy bank that our marketing company JHI gave to each of us on opening night. It's a reference to a joke in the show so it's a very thoughtful gift.

The Comedy About a Bank Robbery is currently booking at the Criterion Theatre until April 2017.
