We caught up with Tim Howar to find out what it's like to play the title role in The Phantom of the Opera.

Howar – whose most recent stage credit was Chess at the Coliseum – took over as the Phantom from Ben Lewis earlier this month.

Now in its 33rd year, Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical won three Olivier Awards and seven Tony Awards when it opened in 1986 with Michael Crawford in the role of the Phantom alongside Sarah Brightman as Christine.
