The cast for the Orange Tree Theatre revival of Charlotte Jones' Humble Boy has been announced.

The production's cast will be composed of Paul Bradley (EastEnders, Noises Off), Jonathan Broadbent (The Norman Conquests, The Tempest), Selina Cadell (The Dresser, The Habit of Art), Rebekah Hinds (Anita and Me, Inside No 9), Belinda Lang (2 Point 4 Children, Duet for One) and Christopher Ravenscroft (The Cocktail Party, High Society).

Directed by the venue's artistic director Paul Miller, the production will be the first major revival of the show since it opened at the National Theatre in 2001, and went on to win the Critics' Circle Best New Play Award. It follows the life of an astrophysicist who finds solving his emotional crisis harder than any form of string theory.

Jones' other plays include Airswimming The Dark and The Lightning Play. She also created and wrote the ITV series The Halcyon.

The piece is designed by Simon Daw, with lighting design by Mark Doubleday and the sound designer and composer is Max Pappenheim.

The Orange Tree Theatre announced Humble Boy as part of their 2018 season, which will also see the venue's productions of An Octoroon and Winter Solstice return.

Humble Boy runs at the Orange Tree Theatre from 12 March to 12 April, with previews from 8 March.
