Cast joining Hayley Atwell and Jack Lowden in Donmar Warehouse Measure for Measure announced

The production is set in two time periods, 2018 and 1604

Full casting has been announced for Josie Rourke's new production of Shakespeare's Measure for Measure at the Donmar Warehouse.

Joining the previously announced Hayley Atwell and Jack Lowden in the show are Ben Allen (Present Laughter), Matt Bardock (Saint Joan), Nicholas Burns (Young Marx), Jackie Clune (Julius Caesar), Rachel Denning (The Vote), Molly Harris (Dogville), Adam McNamara (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), Raad Rawi (Salomé), Sule Rimi (Love and Information), Anwar Russell (The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe) and Helena Wilson (The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie).

Shakespeare's comedy is set in both 1604 and 2018, with Atwell and Lowden alternating the roles of the powerful Deputy and the powerless Novice in the production. It has design by Peter McKintosh, lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Emma Laxton and composition by Michael Bruce.

It was announced recently that Michael Longhurst will take over as new artistic director of the venue following Rourke's departure in 2019.
