Arlene Phillips to make panto debut this Christmas

Arlene Philips will make her pantomime debut this Christmas in Dick Whittington at the New Wimbledon Theatre.

The choreographer will play Fairy Bowbells alongside Matthew Kelly who will play Sarah the Cook and comedian Tim Vine who will play Idle Jack when the production opens on 9 December.

Philips' theatre credits include The Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music, and the recent production of 27 at the Cockpit Theatre

The classic panto tells the story of a boy who travels to London in search of fame after being told the streets are "paved with gold".

Dick Whittington runs at the New Wimbledon Theatre from 13 December 2016 to 15 January 2017, with previews from 9 December.
