Exclusive: Arcola Theatre to stage new musical Happy Ending

The premiere will star Gillian Kirkpatrick and forms part of the Arcola’s new season

The Arcola Theatre will stage the UK premiere of musical Happy Ending as part of its new season next year, opening on 28 January 2015.

The show is adapted from the award-winning play by Anat Gov and will be directed by Guy Retallack (Thrill Me, The Last Session) and star Gillian Kirkpatrick (American Psycho, Chess, Sweeney Todd).

Based on Gov's personal experiences of living with and succumbing to cancer, the musical features music by Shlomi Shaban and Michal Solomon.

The cast will also feature Beverly Klein (Les Miserables, Into the Woods) and Jodie Jacobs (Rock of Ages, Little Shop of Horrors).

Happy Ending runs from 28 January to 7 March 2015.
