With a book by Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey) and music and lyrics by songwriting duo Stiles and Drewe, the musical adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's much-loved children's novel is currently running at the London Palladium. Craig Mather stars as Mole alongside Rufus Hound as Toad and Simon Lipkin as Rat.

We asked Craig to take us backstage at the Palladium...


CM: "Start of the day, sign in sheet at stage door..."

Who's in dressing room 2.1?

CM: "Get into my dressing room!"

CM: "Style the mole hair and do the mole make-up."

CM: "Act 1 beginners call (ahhhhhh)"

CM: "My starting position ready to be dragged on to stage in the truck! "Ohhhh this is fine, this is better than spring cleaning!"
