Kara Tointon

Kara Tointon is an English actress celebrated for her work across television and the West End stage. She first gained prominence playing Dawn Swann in the BBC soap EastEnders (2005–2009) and later won Strictly Come Dancing in 2010.

Tointon is highly respected for her theatrical roles, notably playing Eliza Doolittle in the 2011 West End revival of Pygmalion at the Garrick Theatre. Her stage credits also include portraying Maria in the 2015 ITV live production of The Sound of Music Live and roles in other acclaimed productions such as Absent Friends and Relatively Speaking.
