Karimloo Fronts Phantastic 25th Celebrations???

Following the spectacular celebrations for Les Miserables‘ 25th birthday last year, Phans have started wondering what to expect for Phantom of the Opera‘s anniversary this October. Rumours have been circulating about what form Phantom‘s 25th will take, with the plot thickening following Ramin Karimloo‘s participation in Comic Relief’s celebrity Twitter auction, #TwitRelief. The event, which ran from 10 to 20 March 2011, allowed fans to bid on a Twitter “super-follow” from celebrities in addition to added extras – the winning bid for Ramin was £1,850. Karimloo, who won this year’s Whatsonstage.com Award for his role in Phantom squeal Love Never Dies (and has played the masked man in both shows), offered one lucky Phan two tickets to a “Phantom Concert” which he says will take place in October 2011. It is suggested in the auction that Karimloo will revert to his chandelier-swinging ways for the concert, which is billed in the #TwitRelief eBay listing as potentially “one of the greatest nights in British musical theatre history”. Although the listing goes on to say the location for this epic party is still to be announced it is thought the celebration could be scheduled for the Royal Albert Hall rather than following in Les Mis‘ footsteps at The O2.
