Conor McPherson's Girl From the North Country, which premiered at the Old Vic in July, has announced a West End transfer.

Written and directed by McPherson, the production will run at the Noël Coward Theatre from 11 January to 31 March.

The piece – which features the music of Bob Dylan – is about the owner of a Minnesota guesthouse in the '30s. Things take a turn when a preacher selling bibles and a boxer show up in the middle of the night.

The original cast included Ciaran Hinds, Shirley Henderson, Ron Cook, Debbie Kurup, Sheila Atim and Arinzé Kene – casting for the West End transfer is yet to be announced.

Girl From the North Country will run at the Noël Coward Theatre from 11 January to 24 March 2018, with previews from 29 December 2017. It continues to run at the Old Vic until 7 October.
