WhatsOnStage Award-winner Natalie Casey will lead the cast of Chris Thompson's play Albion, which opens at the Bush Theatre in September.

Thompson has previously won the Channel 4 Playwrights' Scheme and this will be his first collaboration with the Bush Theatre. Albion is Thompson's second play and follows his debut with Carthage at the Finborough Theatre earlier this year.

Natalie Casey, well known for regular TV roles in Two Pints of Lager a Packet of Crisps and Hollyoaks, takes on the role of Christine. Her stage credits include 9 to 5, Abigail's Party, Legally Blonde and The Invisible Man.

Joining her in the cast is Delroy Atkinson, who recently appeared in I Can't Sing! at the London Palladium.

Other cast members include Tony Clay, Paul Ham, Nicola Harrison, Dharmesh Patel and Steve John Shepherd, with direction from Ria Parry and design by James Button.

The play is set in an East End pub on karaoke night but it seems politics is outshining the singing as Chris Thompson‘s explosive new play examines the turbulent rise of the new far right in modern day Britain.

The show opens at the Bush Theatre on 12 September until 25 October.
