So am just posting to say how much I enjoyed this production and to thank the guys who posted early on to say how good it was so that I booked. It was so much better than the RSC production in more or less every way you can think of.

Am I right in thinking that Naomi Frederick who plays Rosalind is moving quite fast towards becoming one of our best classical actresses?

It was great wasn't it...so nice to have a fool who is really funny! And it worked very well in the space too...nice use of the pit for wrestling and great fight it was too! I took someone to The Globe who hadn't been to the theatre for ages and never there and it was a complete pleasure. A lovely happy Summer memory!

We're having a work 'outing' to see this on 2nd October, so I'm glad to read the good reports! I haven't been to the Globe for years, and there are quite a few people in the office who have never been - it would be awful if it turned out to be not very good.

What's the running time, by the way?

2 hours 35 minutes with interval, according to the website. I'm going again on Wednesday, with a second trip to Troilus and Cressida in the evening. Has no one else here seen T&C? It's never been my favourite play, and the titular lovers are totally annoying, but I found the rest of the production to be so well done that I simply have to see it again. Be interested in hearing others' opinions, so would probably do well not to hijack a completely different thread!

So, yes, As You Like It on Wednesday! Woo! biggrin.gif
