For Hello Dolly, it lists a lighting designer. As it plays matinees, do they make it dark or does the lighting design only appear at evening performances? Also, what happens when it rains?
Thanks in advance P#2

Have you ever been to an outdoor venue? The lighting gets adjusted as the light changes and when it rains, people put up umbrellas and the play goes on unless it is dangerous for the actors.

Not I haven't. But I would love to see Hello Dolly. So does that mean if the sun is out during a matinee, no lights are used?

Would that worry you?

Doesn't worry me. I do alot of lighting design and was just interested regarding what happened as I've never done open air. And I'd rather see it when the lights are used.
