It doesn't open til December, so I think it's highly doubtful anyone (except perhaps a psychic) will have seen it yet...

However, it's based on the Sam Mendes production which was/is fantastic. Amazing set designs and incredible new orchestrations.

I couldn't disagree more I'm afraid. I went to the opening night of 'Oliver' at the Palladium and found it to be dreary beyond belief. The sets were excellent, as were Sally Dexter and Jonathan Pryce but everything else just blurred into one long mass of kids and darkness. I gave it another chance later in the run but still couldn't warm to it. I'd lovedc Sam Mendes 'Cabaret' at the Donmar and thought I'd be getting similar levels of inventiveness and interpretation but it wasn't to be. Here's hoping that Family X who watched it on't telly and have spent £200+ for a night out get a much brighter re-interpretation.
