I just wanted to applaude Alexia Khadime after I seen her as Elphaba last night, she's brought something totally different to the role and in my eyes has redefined the character. Her voice is incredible and I think she may have a little more charm than Kerry Ellis. I can see this girl going far.

She's quite brilliant in the role I agree. She has a real edge to her vocals aswell! Kinda she's growling at points...but she's certainly different to the other Elphbas and has a real warmth on stage.

Its good that the productions finally got rid of those vile Kelly Ellis fans that used to shout during performances aswell. They were worse than the Chin-dina "never hit that note in defying gravity once" Jaw-zel fangirls.

I agree. Saw Alexia for the first time as Elphaba last week and was blown away, much better performance than I saw Kerry Ellis give a few months ago. Definatly something new about Alexia. I think at certain points shes a bit more 'wicked' in her singing than Kerry was which brings the whole idea of her being a 'wicked witch' to life.

So your sneering dislike of her is largely based on her looks? Didn't realise having a small chin was a pre-requisite for playing Elphaba. As for the note, guess I must have just been lucky that both times I saw her, she hit the note perfectly...

Shame that I never heard her hitting it when I went to see the show four times with her besides all the other off tunes I had to listen to.

But talking of Alexia: Have seen several Elphaba's in London now and Alexia is so for me the most convincing, great actress, amazing voice - wished she was staying!

Well if Alexia is sooooooooooo good why is she only in it to cover Kerry while she plays on BROADWAY??????? Can't be that can she.

So the lead was so terrible that she hit the wrong note more than once...........and you still went back on 3 more occasions. She can't have been THAT bad then...

Or perhaps "Mags" was going to see the show for something other than the lead. There's more to the theatre than a single person. Some people go for the show itself and, knowing that no casting is permanent, are able to endure the occasional poor performance until that person's employment comes to an end.
In my opinion anyone interested in improving himself should not rule out becoming pure energy.
