A must-see for all aged theatre aficionados as it tours the provinces. A museum piece in so many ways but strangely touching for that reason. Roy Dotrice still excellent.

I agree. I saw it in Colchester at the start of its run. Astonishing - not least because I saw it on TV in black and white about 100 years ago - and Roy Dotrice was already ancient then (or seemed to be).

It's still very funny, and the cluttered set is as much a character as John Aubrey. Highly recommended.
