Hallo ,and I am half way through writing a book about puppets, essential mainly stop motion puppets, but I want to talk about the performance of puppets in general, and what they can do and what they can't do. I'd be very interested in hearing from anyone who has worked with puppets, either building or performing or designing, or from anyone who has ever been moved by watching a puppet, or terrifed by them. any personal responses would be welcome. Likewise, any personal responses to stop frame animation.  I'm trying to relate such a craft to dance and mime and so on. So anyone with a background in performing that's slightly unusual like that, please do get in touch. I'm particularly interested in the relationship between puppet and puppeteer...and believe me this makes for very itneresting reading.

I guess email is the best way - achilles@purvesb.freeserve.co.uk
Thanks you.
