I know Ryan Molloy only does 6 shows each week like the Frankies in New York and on tour and an alternate Frankie does the other 2 shows each week. In New York, the alternate does matinees on Wednesday and Saturday. What shows does the alternate do in the West End?

thanks for any help on this!

I was told that at the moment the alternate does not do fixed shows as e.g. the matinees and there are no plans yet that he will do fixed ones during the week in future.

At the risk of starting the whole "you go to see a show and not a particular performer" debate I think it is safe to say that Ryan Molloy is going to be a huge draw here and people are going to want to see him. I don't see why theatres can't just annouce performers schedules and save a lot of hassle.

Is seems logical though that the alternate would do matinees as it would be hard to do 2 shows in one day??

Well I wished as well they would give the alternate fixed shows as e.g. the matineees though mainly since a friend of mine and I want to see Jye Frasca as Frankie Valli - we know the week he is to be on but cannot book a show yet since not sure which shows of that week he is going to do as he told my friend on Saturday.

I think it would be a fairly safe bet that Ryan Molloy will try to do Friday and Saturday nights, subject to health etc. That was the situation last Saturday, with Ryan missing the matinee but doing the evening. I agree that you shouldn't dismiss the alternate. I saw both JLY and a swing, Dominic Nolfi, on Broadway. Dominic was excellent and I had no complaints whatsoever.

I am keen to see Jye as well.

If anyone hears anything, do please keep us posted.

Jye is to do two shows at the end of June (week starting 23rd June) since Scott Monello is off for a week as he told a friend of mine a week ago - he did not know then which ones since the alternate would not do fixed shows as e.g. the matinees each week at the moment (might change though or changed already)

If Ryan if off holiday or ill Jye does the shows as Frankie. Scott will continue to just do his two shows for the week.
