...That The National's Press Office Had Nothing To Do But Email People To Try To Flog Tickets To Plays With Pompously Long-Winded Titles That Nobody On Earth Was Interested In.

Toatally outrageous. You tick a box saying you are interested in receiving new about a theatre and what happens? You receive news about a theatre! I'd write to my MP if I were you. Or unsubscribe from the NT's mailing list.

Ach come on it was an amusing little parody - enjoy the joke for what it was.

Oh I'm really looking forward to this - great cast, sounds intriguing/ bonkers. The cast has lots of NT regulars, including most of the cast of present laughter it seems... Could be intriguing and is bound to start a 'heated debate' on this board which is never a bad thing.

Amusing parody? Came across to me as just sneery.

Can't remember when I'm seeing it, but am. Interested to see how it's going to work.

im going to try and see this show - did this a good few years ago in my 3rd year at drama school, throughly enjoyed it and not one line to learn, 1000's of movement pieces to learn though, it was a challenge but not in a way you would expect!
This is my street, I smile at the faces I've known all my life, They regard me with pride.

I thought sneery too, especially since it's clearly not true that nobody is interested - plenty of performances have sold out. Interesting article - thanks for posting it.

Surely it would be the Marketing Department who would send promotional emails, not the Press Office?
