I went to the Menier Saturday evening and with all due respects to Douglas Hodge who should be taking the part of Alvin - Spencer Stafford is a star. He should be kept on.

I thought he did really well in the role of Albin but he [played it a little too archly for my liking and missed a lot of the laughs though sang it well. given that you haven't seen Hodge it is difficult tojdge what his perfromance will be like!
