Liza Minnelli is to join a host of stars from stage and screen for a celebration marking Bafta’s 60th birthday this weekend.
The star will appear alongside Victoria Wood and Ben Kingsley for Happy Birthday Bafta, which will be held at the New London Theatre on Sunday, October 28 and will be recorded and broadcast by ITV1 on November 7.
Hosted by Joanna Lumley and Michael Parkinson, It will celebrate the best in film and television from the last six decades and will include written recreations of drama and comedy favourites.
As part of the event, cast members from the classic drama Upstairs Downstairs, including Pauline Collins and Jean Marsh, will perform material from the show and comedians Armstrong and Miller will recreate a classic Morecambe and Wise sketch.
Hollywood star Halle Berry will join the celebrations and Wood, who has collected 12 Baftas throughout her career, will close the show.
The night will also feature performances from the cast of West End shows Billy Elliott the Musical and Cabaret.
