I was wondering if there are any good websites/ticket agents with good offers on for tickets for Chicago, Mamma Mia and We Will Rock You?

I really want to go and see these shows but being a poor student I need to find a way to get discounts on tickets. And I don't believe any of these shows do day tickets so I need help...

Thankyou and I hope someone will be able to give me some websites with good offers or some advice.

Try Theatre Monkey site (select Special Offers from menu on left hand side). Not the easiest read but they list all offers they know (with key words to get them). http://www.theatremonkey.com/

theboxoffice.com often has some good deals but only for a limited number of shows at any one time. I think it is the cheap seats site for SeeTickets.

If you're a student, you should have an NUS card, yes? If so, then if you turn up to the theatre on the day (really early) of the performance you want to attend and present it at the box office, you'll get a massive discount. I managed to see Mary Poppins for £25 and got a good view in the stalls and I heard it's the same pricing for Wicked. I'm sure it applies for every show, but for the ones you listed it's best to ring up the theatre to check if they accept it just incase.

WWRY do a student dicount they have best available for £20, not sure if the other 2 shows do a student discount but I wouldn't be surprised.

Yeah as xTanyax says We Will Rock You deffo do have standby student tickets for £20 the day of the performance. They are normally really good ones - last time I got one i was right in the centre of the stalls! If not I'm sure there would be day standbys on the door as I doubt they fill every seat on Monday-Thursday performances.

Mamma Mia! doesn't do any type of reduction in tickets as the show is so popular. My suggestion is that you try for a Upper Circle seat or possibly combine a visit to the theatre with a student weekend in Bristol. The International Tour of Mamma Mia! is on at Hippodrome between 30 November 2007 - 2 February 2008. Top price seats are £30 and ones right up in the Upper Circle are a tenner so deffo a bargain to be had there! I saw the tour last Christmas in Manchester and it is just as good as the London production. See www.mamma-mia.com/bristol/bristol.asp for details.

I'm not sure about Chicago but I'd imagine they also do some sort of day tickets - also as already suggested - www.theboxoffice.com has loads of summer offers on tickets at the moment. Best price Chicago tickets are £25 which is quite good. If you do go when Kelly Osborne is playing Mamma Morton - do say what she's like cos if she's good I may even go again!

Good luck! laugh.gif
