Right guys... need your help! For a few years now I've collected theatre flyers - the small free ones for various reasons a) free and they're exactly as it is on the poser and cool.gif im a fan of the design of many! But now i've got a huge collection and nothing but a box to do with them...

I want to do something with them, something where I can really house my collection... Any ideas with what I can do with them???

I have a small autograph collection, and I split it- the really special ones I frame and display, and the others I keep in an album; I don't know for sure, but I expect they produce album sleeves with an A4 page divided into 3 (i.e. leaflet size pouches). Try one of those anorak-y shops (forbidden planet etc.).

That's about all I can think of, unless you wanted to showcase your collection to others, in which case you could scan them all in, maybe put them on flickr- people on here would probably be interested.

I use mine as bookmarks (the same as tickets) however a nice way is to place them under glass as a table top / or coffee top. That way you have them on show and pretected at the same time.

A5 size can be put in those plastic envelope things and a ring binder..but framing the good ones is a nice idea. I've found that only framed pics get really looked after, that kind of thing anyway. If they have plain backs you could try starting a collection of the actors' autographs on the backs, quite a challenge but would make a cracking collection for the future. Anyway, sounds like fun. You could 'leave' the collection to the non existant theatre museum.

I made a couple of interesting screensavers with mine. You could give copies to your theatre loving friends.

I have been collecting flyers for many years now and have mine (2000+) in files in plastic sleeves. European flyers are mostly A4 but US ones are slightly bigger and donīt fit the sleeves, so I normally put them in smaller ones, still folded.

I am always looking for new or old ones, so if anyone is interested in trading, contact me rolleyes.gif

Hey! I collect theatre flyers too - and have brought some huge ( about 3 foot by 1 foot) perspex clip frames - i mounted them all side by side and put them on the wall - i've also decorated the back of my bedroom door with them - i have hundreds of them smile.gif
I also collect programmes and have about 150 of them - with no idea what to do with them - may get them framed smile.gif

I only started collecting this year, so have about 20 which I keep in a scrapbook. Not stuck down with glue though, so I can reorganise them when I want to.

For shows I've seen, I stick flyers in my scrapbooks. The problem is I am incapable of going near theatre flyers without picking up a handful, so I have a large plastic box filled with excess ones, and many more scattered around my room. I imagine at some point I might get a large piece of hardboard or something and make a lovely collage, but for now, it's just a Box Of Flyers. XD
