Since the final performance of several of Evita's cast members is not very far off (14th April), does anyone happen to know yet who the replacements will be?

All I know is that, apparently, Sarah Jane Hassall will be replacing Lorna Want as the Mistress (according to this page). Does anyone know what she's been in?

Who exactly is leaving? I've heard Philip Quast and Stuart Neal are going...anyone else? And who will be replacing the former?

Thanks to anyone with info!

Sarah Jane Hasall was in Dr Dolittle with Philip Schofield and was also in City of Angels. I am surprised if it's the same actor though, as she must be in her late 30's now and the mistress is 16. If it is true I will be bashing my agent, he told me that they would not see anyone over 20 for the role..

Sarah Jane Hassall is playing age 31-40 according to Spotlight. She has played the mistress in Evita before with Hal Prince directing...

Sarah-Jane Hassell was in the original cast of Evita as the mistress. She isn't going into the new cast. She had a long and successful career, playing leading roles in shows like Les Mis, Miss Saigon, City of Angels, and finishing up with a stint opposite Philip Schofield in Doctor Doolittle. She stopped working to have children, but is now working a little in the musical theatre cabaret show, 'Showstopping'.

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if Lorna Want is still with the show? I'm in town later this week and might take the chance to see this good production again before it closes, along with my first time at Avenue Q biggrin.gif

Ta much,
John

According to the updated cast list on the Official Evita website Lorna Want is still in the show.
The only lead role that had to be recast is Magaldi (Gary Milner has now been replaced by former first cover Greg Castiglioni), while there are eight new ensemble members.

Cheers,
