So what are your views? Personally after watching a few video performances and listening to the album on good old Spotify, i would LOVE to see this. Perhaps it could follow in the footsteps of The Producers and come over here for a while? If not West End i think a good tour could do well once they've finished with the production over in the USA tour.

Good Music
Good Score
Could get some brilliant talent for it.

So yeah, what are the views on this Mel Brooks musical?

I saw this in New York and I can't really recommend it. Some good laughs. But really, not a great show, and it basically bombed on Broadway. (Oooooh, alliteration.) *Shrug* Could be different over here I guess. Sorry mc89! I agree some of the music is fun...

Was speaking to someone who caught the US tour of the show, and said it didn;t match the producers on anylevel. I would much rather see the producers in a west end theatre again than this!

I really like the music, and would be interested in seeing this as well. Don't think it's very likely though.

I really liked it! I think much of the downfall of this show was how they produced and marketed it and it got a lot of bad press. I think it could do quite well in a midsized London venue in a scaled down production along the lines of Legally Blonde.

Saw this show twice on Broadway and loved it. The public were put off by the management who had an attitude like no other. Prices were high, no details of weekly sales were published (like every other Broadway show) and it tried to continue the success of The Producers and got rather too big for its boots. It seemed like everyone wanted to teach Mel Brooks and team a lesson for being so big headed and there was much hype to the show. I believe this is why it didnt do so well. It didnt bomb, it ran for around a year i think? But more than likely lost money? It was a clever show with a great set, and some wonderful performances from Roger Bart and the lovely Megan Mullally. It deserved to run much longer and I wish it would come to London (but without the hype).
