Great news! Have always loved Aspects, but always thought it should be done small scale, although I did enjoy the recent UK tour. Interesting to have Trevor Nunn re-visiting the piece.

Great! I'd never been sure about it on record, but when I saw the recent tour I realised how much it's a directors piece. I don't mean this in a bad way, but there's a lot for the director to do to find the detail in the relationships. It's actually a compliment that the music and lyrics leave leave a lot of space for the actors and director to do their part of the storytelling. As we know, fabulous though they are in their own way, shows like Phantom or Wicked are a bit juggernauts that replacement casts (talented of course) fit into - but it's a bit like being a cog in a brilliantly designed machine - you'd wreck it if you did anything too different or surprising. With Aspects, having done it already, I really hope Trevor Nunn gets really deep into the characters and makes it a real actors musical.

Lee Mead for Alex?? I think he'd be able to age up well, slap a moustache on him in Act II. I can't really think of who else could do it. Plus I think Brian Blessed would be a wonderful George - it really needs someone who can convince as having lived life to the full. Thoughts....?

Lee Mead is in Wicked during the scheduled run of Aspects, so not him I am afraid.

Oh yes! - boo. I've not seen Wicked, but I was quite surprised that he signed up for that show. I thought there might have been something he could add more originality to, than such a big hit - Aspects could have been it. Shame. I'm not even a particular fan of his, but I think 'Alex' would suit him.

They may not use a big household name.

After hearing Daniel Boys sing 'Love Changes Everything' at the recent 'Valentine's At The Musicals'' concert he did with Jessie Buckley, I'd love to see him take on the lead. It was an outstanding rendition!

This is very exciting news. My vote goes to Liam Tamne for Alex. His voice is incredible and he has some range on him. He could easily be aged up for the 2nd half

I'd guess someone relatively unknown to the masses, like the Night Music cast: based on talent rather than celebrity status (not saying that the mentioned names aren't talented). Not sure abut Brian Blessed for George. Isn't his voice too deep?
