I saw this last Thursday and was bowled over. Scintillating and beautiful music, inventive staging, pure voices, disciplined chorus and orchestral work. Sublime, shimmering and powerful. So gorgeous was everything that I didn't even mind that my seat was restricted view despite it not being advertised as such.
Anyone else seen it? Anyone else loved it?

Agree,
Agree,
Agree.
It's wonderful, it really is. The final scene with the two men bowled me over and will stay with for years to come.
I hope Improbable get the chance to direct something else there. I think Damination of Faust could work wonders in their hands.

I do too, though they're off to New York with Satyagraha, so it won't be for a while. Good on them.
I have to say, though, that if the staging was good, the music was ten times better. I hope to hear more Glass operas in London. Akhnaten would go down a treat.
