Has anyone caught any of this US series yet (admittedly it's not on in the UK until early 2010, E4 are showing it), it's brilliant though, very funny show about a school 'Glee' club, this is where they go to sing and dance after school and to represent the school in national competitions, think the whole college 'Glee' thing is big in the US.

In each show they do about 4 numbers and they are brilliant, mixture of pop and musical classics, the lead singer is Lea Michele who starred in Spring Awakening both on and off Broadway and the teacher appeared in Footloose amongst other shows on Broadway.

You must check it out, best series I have seen in ages, well written and a lot of fun.

PS Lea really should take the Elphaba role if they do film Wicked, she has an amazing voice and sings Defying Gravity in the tv show.

I do like it quite a lot, although I wish the musical numbers were a bit 'liver'. That's good news that it's going to be on E4! I love both Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison, it's good to see theatre people doing well in TV land, especially in such a theatrical TV show...
He used to call me — Blue Roses.

Love it, but the voices really are overproduced (if that's the right word?) but still love it!

Yeah the songs are obviously done to sell the various albums they are releasing to accompany the series * so the better they sound the more CD's they sell I suppose but I agree, there are a few that sound more live and less produced.

* Once the series is finished there will have been 3 Glee albums with a total of about 75 songs, I have the first one and it's brilliant.

The overproducing of Finn's voice is the worst, he might not be a great singer, but I'd rather have that than him singing like a robot!

I love this series, can't wait for it on E4! smile.gif

yeah that is a strange one as he's not a great singer and there are better male voices in the show, he also is not a natural dancer, you would think they could have found someone better !!

Ps Sue is the BEST character ever :-)

I love the whole thing... it's so cute but so touching at times too! The guy playing Finn... even though he's not the best singer or dancer, he's kinda cute and he suits reali well with the character! As for Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison goes... they've been amazing so far! And agree that Jane Lynch's Sue totally stole the show! Very touching moments when we realise in one of the more recent episodes about her sister!
It's just a cute, warm little show that have amazing vocals and dancer numbers (Mercy & Back to Rehab was amazing!) ... MUCH better than what E4 made with Mitch Hewer with Gary Barlow writing score ~~~
