I notice on the list that the funniest musical of 2009 is not there-----
Austentatious.
Apparently it is an inexhaustive list-
so as it was a professional production in London is it eligible for nominations?
I know I could be a lion tamer,
I've always gotten along with cats

I've also put Peter Wilson (aka duke special) for best support actor and mother courage as best new musical - doubt if either are allowed. but hey hum

I obviously want to nominate Austentatious as Comedy of the Year- but if I cant then Too Close for the Sun would have to be in that category??? He Hee

Well, I can't think of any other theatre events that captured public imagination or news attention quite so much. The Donmar West End season fizzled out like a damp squib, and it would be utterly classless to nominate the early retirement of Matt Lucas from Prick Up Your Ears. Ernie Get Your Gun was certainly one of the most talked about productions of the year, if not THE most talked about production of the year, so why not nominate it? smile.gif
