Gabriel Vick (currently playing Jean-Michele in La Cage Aux Folles @The Playhouse) is performing his very first one man cabaret show at 4.30pm on Sun November 8th @ Lauderdale House in Highgate, North London. It's part of the 'Cabaret in The House' season there.

Following his inspired performances in A Little Night Music, Cabaret, Dickens Unplugged and Avenue Q, Gabe's own show promises a mix of popular musical theatre favourites, fabulous new work and some rock and roll thrown in for good measure. Along with the majestic musical stylings of MD Mark Collins on piano, the press blurb has warned anyone of a nervous disposition to be aware that trumpets and guitars may be used at this performance.

Tickets are available on 0208 3488716 and on the door. £13 and £11 concs. Nearest tube: Archway. Definitely worth the trek up Highgate Hill to catch this inaugural one man show from one of the west end's most exciting young performers.

I think 'Through The Door' is an evening performance (7.30). Gabe's show will finish around 6pm, so if you wanted to you could hop on the tube and get into town in time to get to the Trafalgar Studios and then you could see them both ! It'd be like an Edinburgh Festival type sprint between venues.

Just heard that Archway tube station will be closed on Sunday, so anyone travelling by tube to partake of the sublime musical stylings of the divine Gabriel Vick this coming Sunday (Nov 8th) 4.30pm @ Lauderdale House in Highgate, should alight at Highgate tube station (also Northern Line) instead.

GV is a legend. I would love to go to this. I met him recently and he was SO nice. He is a wonderful singer. I hope he does more cabarets and I'm not sure I can get there on Sunday. Maybe he will do Norden Farm?

I'll do my best to persuade him ! I think the show this Sunday is going to be great, so I do think it would be a shame if it was just a one-off.
