Following huge success at the Royal Exchange Studio last year, Amanda Dalton‘s new play Powder Monkey returns to the family friendly venue.
Stella and AK are 12 years old. AK’s a soldier; Stella has battles of her own. Maybe that’s why she goes to her secret place, and why she strikes a deal with the stupid kid Worm. But peace is hard and there’s definitely something in the woods. It’s watching them. And it’s getting closer…..
Powder Monkey is a play about being at war and making peace, about friendship and territory, about children in an adult world and children in a world without adults.
Directed by Matt Peover and designed by James Cotterill the production runs at the RET Studio from 31 May – 18 June.
