Thunder Road bring Count of Monte Cristo to Buxton & Bury, 24 May

Local theatre company Thunder road whi have enjoyed previous success with the play Hyde, bring another twist on an old classic. This time they revisit Alexandre Dumas’ The Count of Monte Cristo, adapted by Polis Loizou.

“Life is a storm my friend, you will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered
on the rocks the next, what makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes…”

Edmond
Dantès is sentenced to a lifetimes imprisonment when jealous minds
conspire against him. Helpless and isolated within the infamous fortress
Château D’if, a chance escape quenches Edmond’s thirst for vengeance.
The hero is now the villain, and the villain will have his revenge.

Directed by Terence Mann, with designs by by Loose Nut Studio, the cast features Alex Moran and Scott Hodgson.

The Count of Monte Cristo
plays the Pavilion Arts Centre, Buxton 24 – 25 May and The Bury Met on 29 May.
