Theatregoers Nailed into Coffins for a Good Night’s Sleep???

Do you think you’re brave enough to spend the night in a coffin? Tonight (11 May 2011), four courageous theatregoers will be shutting themselves into a coffin for the night, all in hopes of receiving two flights to New York. The four contestants have each received two tickets to tonight’s performance of Ghost Stories at the Duke of York’s Theatre, which will certainly set an ominous tone for the night to come. At 11pm, once the theatre has closed its doors to the public, each contestant will enter their individual coffin, placed on the stage of one of London’s oldest and most haunted theatres. The lid to each coffin will then be sealed shut, with only holes for ventilation, and the contestants will be left alone for the night, with nothing but the dark (and we assume the Theatre’s ghost light!) to keep them company. Contestants are allowed out of the coffins at any point, but will be disqualified if they do not last the full time period. Survivors – if there are any – will be set free at 7am tomorrow morning. If more than one person has lasted the night the winner will be chosen via a draw.

Theatrical thriller Ghost Stories which carries an age rating of 15, ends its run at the Duke of York’s on 19 June 2011.
