Digital Theatre launches internet TV channel with TalkTalk
Access to the Digital Theatre Channel, which launched on Monday, starts from £3 and, according to press material, aims to "bring theatre to the masses".
Digital Theatre's co-founder and CEO Robert Delamere said: "This is a unique opportunity for us to gain new audiences for our productions and the world class talent working in the British theatre scene."
TalkTalk already offers a host of On Demand content to its customers including The Karaoke Channel and Concert TV.
TalkTalk's Tristia Clarke said the theatre channel marks "an important milestone in our drive to make great content affordable and accessible for all".
The Digital Theatre Channel launches with 18 shows from the West End, Young Vic, Almeida and elsewhere, including All My Sons starring David Suchet and Zoë Wanamaker and Much Ado About Nothing with David Tennant and Catherine Tate.
To launch the service on Monday, TalkTalk teamed up with the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts to provide the public with "the first on-demand pop up theatre" at locations across the capital.
