Chris Bush is an award-winning playwright, lyricist, and theatre-maker. Her credits include Otherland, Nine Lessons and Carols: stories for a long winter (Almeida), Standing At the Sky’s Edge (Sheffield Theatres/ National Theatre/ West End); The Odyssey; Pericles (National Theatre); A Doll’s House, Rock/Paper/Scissors (Sheffield Theatres); Jane Eyre (Stephen Joseph Theatre/ New Vic Theatre); Fantastically Great Women Who Changed The World (UK tour).

In January 2023, Bush was named by The Stage as one of the 100 most influential people in British theatre.

She also writes for the screen, and alongside various original projects in development, her first short film Mars, produced by Yungblud, premiered at the London Film Festival and was selected for the Tribeca Film Festival.
