The anthology takes you on an epic journey through the calendar year, covering key moments from Shakespeare’s work, life and times, with each day marked by a corresponding speech, sonnet or scene from across his magnificent canon. From Malvolio in yellow stockings for Twelfth Night, to Richard III clamouring for a horse on the date of the Battle of Bosworth, or a love sonnet to mark Shakespeare’s marriage to Ann Hathaway and Juliet’s July birthday, to Henry V and his band of brothers at the Battle of Agincourt, the evening will feature powerful and timely readings from actor Niamh Cusack (and one other still to be announced).
