Richard Rogers, a wise cracking, hard drinking retired teacher, has spent a lifetime trying to do the right thing and avoiding the criminal lifestyle of his parents. A failed and frustrated actor who turned to teaching after a couple of decades trying to hit the big time, he found to his surprise that he loved it. He had come home. But even in a school, corruption can find its way in. Richard finds himself embroiled in a plot to privatise and then sell the school with the profits going to the larger than life new head teacher and his cronies. It leads him down a very dark path indeed.
