About the Show

Stereophonic is a Tony Award-winning play by David Adjmi, featuring original music by Arcade Fire’s Will Butler.  Set in a California recording studio in 1976, the play follows a fictional rock band on the cusp of superstardom as they struggle to record their new album. The play delves into the band’s messy interpersonal dynamics, including romantic entanglements and substance abuse, as they piece together a rock album that could launch them to fame or fall flat

The show is now bound for the West End.

Directed by Daniel Aukin, Stereophonic‘s creative team includes David Zinn (scenic designer), Enver Chakartash (costume designer), Jiyoun Chang (lighting designer), Ryan Rumery (sound designer), Justin Craig (music director), Gigi Buffington (voice, text, and dialect coach), and Robert Pickens and Katie Gell (hair and wig design).
