Join us on a journey through sound, storytelling and adventure with City of London Sinfonia’s New Frontiers season, in association with Hackney Empire.
This is not just a concert series, it’s an invitation to explore…
Kicking off the season is New Frontiers: Explorers (Wed 17 Sep), a thrilling, cinematic voyage through high seas, wild landscapes, and imagined worlds, featuring music from Jurassic Park, Moana, Master and Commander, and Indiana Jones and with lighting design by Tony Award winner Jack Knowles.
Coming up in October is New Frontiers: Trailblazers (Wed 22 Oct), a bold, live experience celebrating musical pioneers who broke the mould. Led from within by violinist Alexandra Wood, the orchestra performs without a conductor, turning it into a living, breathing heartbeat, accompanied by dancers from Hackney Empire Creative Futures.
Then in November, we head to Hackney Church for New Frontiers: From Dusk `til Dawn (Thu 6 Nov), as the iconic 18th-century church is transformed into a space of shifting light and shadow.
Finally, join us next March for New Frontiers: THE EXOPLANETS (Fri 13 Mar 2026). Created by City of London Sinfonia and the award-winning theatre company curious directive, this is a new production about the worlds we build with each other, and within ourselves.
Tickets from £12, save 10% if you book for all 4 concerts.
