The Return

The Return is a devised solo performance mixing storytelling, movement and poetry in an attempt to unpick entanglement in a family history. The piece explores the hidden consequences of war and its intergenerational damage by looking into a performer’s experience of living through the war in Croatia in the nineties and how it might have influenced where she is now. Incorporating distinctive sound and conceptual lighting design The Return is a personal story questioning our freedom of choice.
