Comedy songwriter Tamar was born to be a rock star. Unfortunately she was also born in Surrey. Riding off the buzz of a bit part on The Bill, this minstrel-sized songstress is ready for her next big break.
This was the plan: 1) Find dream job. 2) Change the world. 3) Go for brunch. Now she’s broke, overwhelmed by options and in a complicated relationship with Netflix. Tamar’s Grandma always asks her when she’s going to get married and settle down in her home village, but Tamar’s far too busy trying to live her ‘best life’ – drinking wine, getting trapped in boob tubes and googling pictures of Tom Hardy with puppies. Drawing on her Grandma’s advice, Tamar explores what it means to be a young woman today in this musical storytelling show about ambition, anxiety and avocados that will leave you wanting to seize the day and do it all for Grandma! After a smash hit run in Edinburgh, Best Life transferred to the SoHo Playhouse in New York and serenaded sailors with Virgin’s Voyages. Now Tamar’s bringing her hit show back to London at the Crazy Coqs for ONE NIGHT ONLY.
