Like Animals

A chimp using sign language. A dolphin trying to speak English. A parrot saying ‘Be good, see you tomorrow. love you’ and a woman spending a lifetime proving it’s not a trick. Inspired by the true stories of research scientists working to communicate with animals and performed by a real couple, Like Animals is a funny and touching investigation into love and communication in human (and not so human) relationships. It celebrates the scientists and animals trying to understand each other, and tries to continue their work. This is a new devised performance about love, communication and the impossibility of ever truly knowing someone.
