Forbidden Stories

A multimedia performance that explores the theme of borders in the separated island of Cyprus. Based on interviews conducted with members of the Greek and Turkish communities, the performance stages stories of mutual aid, solidarity and friendship which consolidate the links between the two communities of Cyprus.

UK Premiere. Blending storytelling with the use of new media, Forbidden Stories probes into prevalent notions of ?otherness’ and challenges racial, religious and nationalist divisions.
