Surrounded by portraits of his younger self, Camp Binch is the side-splitting story of Chris growing up gay in the conservative, rugby-mad city of Christchurch, New Zealand. Each portrait acts as a portal into the times he felt he was ?not like the other boys’, from the first time he was called gay, the first time he discovered pornography, to finally finding likeminded allies in his school music room. The show aims to explore the shared experience of many men coming through the New Zealand education system, whilst carefully challenging the majority to examine how inclusive their spaces are.
