National Dance Company of Wales – Why Are People Clapping/Moving is Everywhere, Forever

About the Show

Formerly Diversions

Why Are People Clapping by Ed Myhill is uplifting, funny and ridiculously clever. It’s set to composer Steve Reich’s ‘Clapping Music’ and uses rhythm as a driving force. The dancers clap, stamp and jump to create the live soundtrack. It’s face-pulling, toe-tapping, joy. Moving is Everywhere, Forever by Faye Tan. A satisfying ode to the act of dancing; an invitation to yield to the irresistible impulse of grooving, to the soundtrack by Welsh electronic duo Larch. Nestled amongst the two performances will be some fun moments to get dancing and learn moves from the show!
