About the Show

Mark Radcliffe is probably the best-loved radio DJ in the UK (well, alright, we might be a bit biased, but even so … he still probably is!) and as well as being an Award winning radio presenter, currently on BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio 2, he also hosts the BBC TV coverage of Glastonbury Festival and Sky Arts TV highlights of the Cambridge Folk Festival. He has toured the country with his bands The Family Mahone and The Shirehorese and has written a number of laugh out loud funny books about his musical life so far. In 2011 he recorded his first solo album, ‘What Remains Of The Day’ and published yet another book, titled ‘Reeling in the Years’, detailing the soundtrack to his half century on God’s good earth. The biopic must surely now be an inevitability. He now leaves the comfort of his BBC studio to do some solo shows (with his multi-instrumentalist fellow Mahone, Chris Lee), hear songs, jokes, anecdotes and stories from his glittering career .
