  • Shall We Dance? Adam Cooper, in his first new production at Sadler’s Wells since Les Liaisons Dangereuses in 2005, has returned in style with his new fully staged production Shall We Dance. Set to a score comprised entirely of melodies by Richard Rodgers, Shall We Dance
    tells the story of one man’s extraordinary quest to find true love.
    Featuring a wealth of dancing talent led by Adam Cooper, this is set
    to be a true dance extravaganza.

  • Pina Bausch remembered
    – The world-renowned dancer and hugely influential choreographer Pina Bausch died on 30 June at the age of 68 (See News, 30 Jun 2009). Her work will no doubt live on and continue to inspire many more dancers and non-dancers alike. In memory of Bausch’s extraordinary talent both as a choreographer and performer, here is a short extract from Lee Yanor’s brilliant film, A Coffee wth Pina.




  • Get the coat, get the girl, change the world
    – The first of this fortnight’s Edinburgh Festival Picks comes from the award-winning Gecko and their latest offering, The Overcoat. Inspired by Nikolai Gogol‘s short story of the same name, Gecko bring their unique blend of physical theatre, story telling and live music to the Pleasance Courtyard from 13 to 31 August (not 18, 25).   • Tom Tom Crew return
    – Following their acclaimed stint at the Southbank Udderbelly earlier this year, Aussie troupe the Tom Tom Crew take their heady mix of circus, music and acrobatic skills up north to once again to wow the crowds, this time at Udderbelly’s Pasture, from 6 to 31 August (not 11, 18, 25). Featuring gravity defying tumbling tricks and live beat boxing, all backed by explosive contemporary music, this is urban circus performance at its best and is not to be missed.
