In our latest Whatsonstage.com Radio podcast, Roger Foss meets Michael Feinstein, who is not only one of the premiere interpreters (and archivists) of the great American Songbook, but also a Broadway and West End performer, a four-time Grammy-nominated recording artist and co-owner of Feinstein’s at Lowe’s Regency in New York City.

Before opening in his new concert, Michael Feinstein – An American in London, at the Shaw Theatre on 6 January 2008, he gives a peek preview of the show and talks about his latest album Hopeless Romantics, a tribute to the poetic songs of Oscar-winning composer Harry Warren, for which he has teamed up with veteran British-born jazz pianist George Shearing. He also reveals plans for his first foray into writing a musical theatre score.
