Trafalgar Releasing will present the Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II musical in over 950 cinemas across more than 28 countries from 20 September for a limited run.
The film, which won five Academy Awards, features songs including “Edelweiss”, “My Favorite Things”, “Climb Ev’ry Mountain”, “Do-Re-Mi” and the title track.
To mark the 60th anniversary of the Julie Andrews-led The Sound of Music film, which premiered 2 March, 1965, a newly restored and remastered version of the film will be released on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray later this year.
