Eugene O’Neill shares, with uncompromising truth and honesty, the pain, anguish and guilt faced by his own family, in what is his most moving and compelling drama.
The audience is privy to the most shattering revelations as the Tyrone family hurl accusations and allegations at each other over the course of a single day. Mired in their past, it is perhaps only forgiveness that will release them from the history that continues to haunt their lives. As O’Neill’s inscription to his wife Carlotta makes clear, the play is a ‘journey into light – into love’.
Directed by David Thacker.
